The layout of KENZAN’s retail space is dominated by cinder blocks and plywood that have been arranged in a very unique and deliberate way. The choice of materials was inspired as much by the architecture of Oscar Niemeyer and Paulo Mendes da Rocha, as they were by the sculptures of Noah Purifoy and Bettye Saar.
Color, line, texture and movement are all carefully considered, resulting in singular pieces that pulse with life and which elicit profound emotions.
